Structure characterization technology and application of well seismic matching under dense well pattern in oilfield

Old oilfields with ultra-high water content have a dense well network, and efficient tapping of remaining oil requires finely describing the structure distribution characteristics in three-dimensional space. The advantages of the two methods of oilfield data information characteristics, development needs, and structural interpretation and structural modeling in structural characterization are as follows: Based on the analysis of deficiencies, a method for well-seismic matching structural characterization is summarized. The method includes well-seismic calibration and layer interpretation in different well patterns, breakpoint implementation and fault interpretation, dynamic information fault inspection, secondary combination of depth domain breakpoints, and well-seismic matching faults. Modeling, seismic constraint horizon modeling, 6 key steps, and a detailed analysis of the key elements of well-seismic matching in each step. This method combines the advantages of seismic data in spatially identifying structural features with the positioning and discriminating role of well information in structural representation. Together, we can accurately describe faults and micro-amplitude structures. The results show that the structural model established using this method has high accuracy and has a positive guiding role in accurately predicting remaining oil and tapping potential.
