FEATURES OF ENGINEERING AND GEOLOGICAL ZONING OF THE TERRITORY OF SOUTHWESTERN UZBEKISTAN FOR THE PURPOSES OF WATER CONSTRUCTION
The article deals with the issues of regional study of the territory for the purposes of land reclamation and the development of principles and methods for compiling zoning maps as the basis for predicting changes in engineering and geological conditions. As a result of the analysis of the principles and methodology for compiling maps of engineering-geological zoning of large territories by numerous authors, the article proposes a new program for the regional study of changes in the geological environment of reclaimed lands and a methodology for compiling a map of engineering-geological zoning of the territory of southwestern Uzbekistan, which should narrow the basis for forecasting and regulation of technogenic changes in the geological environment. The heterogeneity of the engineering-geological conditions of the South-Western Uzbekistan-region of the second order is characterized by the allocation of 2 provinces, 3 regions of the first order and 21 regions of the second order. A comparative qualitative assessment of the complexity of engineering-geological conditions at the level of second-order regions was carried out.
