Optimal design of submersible permanent magnet synchronous motor with double-assisted permanent magnet Halbach array based on SVM

The harmonics and fundamental amplitude of air gap flux density will directly affect the performance of the oil-submerged permanent magnet synchronous motor. To analyze and optimize the air gap magnetic density of this motor, a surface oil-submerged permanent magnet synch ronous motor with double auxiliary permanent magnet Halbach array structures was designed and optimized. The permanent magnets of the motor was magnetized by the Halbach method. The magnetizing direction of the main magnet is the radial magnetizing, and the magnetizing directions of the double auxiliary magnets are the par

An efficient inversion interpretation method for distributed temperature measurement of horizontal wells in shale gas reservoirs

With the exploration and development of unconventional oil and gas resources, downhole environmental monitoring and data-analysis technologies are becoming more and more important. Distributed fiber optic measurement technology, as a new monitoring technology to obtain accurate data, has a wide range of applications in hydraulic fracturing and production monitoring. It mainly includes: distributed fiber optic temperature sensors (DTSs) to monitor gas lift, identify in-flow fluid types, interpret flow profiles and monitor production enhancement operations; distributed fiber optic acoustic se

Research and development of oily drilling cuttings treatment technologies

The use of oil-based drilling fluid will produce a large amount of oily cuttings during the drilling process, and improper treatment will cause harm to the ecological environment and human health. Countries around the world have set strict standards for the discharge of oily drill cuttings, requiring that oily drill cuttings must be treated up to the standard before they can be discharged. This paper introduces the relevant regulations and standards of oily drilling cuttings treatment at home and abroad, summarizes the main research results and application status of oily drilling cuttings t

Characterization of micro-structural deformation and its petroleum significance in Yacheng area of Qiongdongnan Basin

Cenozoic extension rates were calculated based on 20 seismic profiles across the Qiongdongnan Basin, South China Sea. The results confirmed that the Cenozoic rifting in the Qiongdongnan Basin exhibited multistage extension and spatiotemporal variation. In terms of the N–S striking seismic profiles, the structural forms of the northern and southern sags of the basin were characterized by narrow half grabens, while the structure at the center sag of the basin was characterized by wide and gentle grabens. The fault strikes in the west of the basin were mainly northeast–southwest tr

Mechanism of buoyancy and capillary forces dominated CO2 migration in layered saline aquifers

The storage of CO2 has become an important worldwide problem, considering that an excess of CO2 in the Earth’s atmosphere causes dramatic changes in its climate. One possible solution is to remove the excess of CO2 from the atmosphere, capture it in the process of creation, and store it safely, negating the possibility of its return into the atmosphere. This is the process of Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS). In the following paper, the authors investigate horizontal saline aquifers and their ability to store CO2. The authors’ application of sensitivity analysis on horizontal mi
